TITAN Coastal combines several technologies to provide a competent authority with an opportunity to monitor vessel traffic that is plying the waters of their coastline providing comprehensive maritime domain awareness.
By installing sensors along the coastline such as Radar, AIS and CCTV, a picture can be built giving invaluable knowledge to the user. Keeping track of where vessels are and what they are doing builds a comprehensive view of potential illegal activities, which may be occurring in your waters.
By installing an AIS there is the ability to view all SOLAS and compliant vessels. In situations where the AIS is turned off or the vessel is not equipped with an AIS, Radar can be utilized as a source of supplying information. Long range tracking of vessels can also be added through use of satellite tracking methods.
In sensitive areas, CCTV cameras can be employed which will provide the visual aspects of surveillance. With TITAN Coastal, if a vessel is acting erratically and suspiciously the operator can, with a single click, have the CCTV camera swing to that ship and monitor it until it is completely out of range or hidden by an object.
Setting geo fencing in specific areas (polygon or circles) will enable TITAN Coastal to alert the operator if a vessel enters into those zones. If a particular vessel is to be monitored for other 
approaching vessels, a zone guard can be deployed and will move with the ship notifying if any other vessel approaches within the defined safe areas.
Notification via AIS Message 21 can be automatically triggered if a ship is in or approaching a zone. This is recorded into the SQL database documenting the message sent, the time, the MMSI and Name of the ship for future reviewing.
TITAN Coastal is able to share the information and data provided by use of TITAN Viewer, which is a separate product provided by Xanatos Marine. This allows anyone with access to a web browser to have near real time viewing of the happenings. In turn this allows people not readily available in the office to have an accurate depiction of the vessel/s in question, which gives the key decision makers complete situational awareness for their considerations.
